Clip on earrings – new page

Clip on earrings are kind of having a resurgence these days. Pierced earrings – chandeliers, studs, etc, tend to get most of the attention – and manufacturers often assume that everybody has pierced ears. Well they don’t 😉

And I’ve started updating my “clip on earrings” pages. The new page is up here and there will be more to come.

Check out these clip on heart earrings:

They’re available in custom colors of course – but I think the bright red, orange and purple ones are really fun 😉

And like I said – more are on the way!

A gift for Mom – the kanji earrings say Dream

Letting your mom know that you realize that she *has* dreams is a gift in it self – that you recognize her as a person with hopes, fears, and dreams – that’s a major deal. These pretty little earrings are just the icing on the cake.

Of course custom colors are available. Custom kanji, too – but I do think it’s nice to tell your Mom know that you know that she dreams. That she’s a person. That you value her as a person.

All that good stuff. That’s the real gift to your Mom 🙂

Brass pendant with personalized kanji – your name in Japanese

Your name in Japanese on a personalized, brass pendant – take a look!

personalized kanji pendant with your name in Japanese...this pendant says Madison

This is a whole new type of design for me – the Japanese kanji prints on clear medium and is lacquered right on the brass – so the golden metal totally shines through. It’s a metallic, minimalist style and I’ve been getting some really good customer feedback. Let me know what you think!

P.S. Something to keep in mind – these personalized pendants are a great gift for Mom. Use her name – or yours, if you think she’d prefer that 😉

Personalized kanji earrings…new work

I’m all fired up making personalized kanji earrings and necklaces – several people have asked for custom work (which is always fun) – and I’m loving these new pieces! These “Rebecca” earrings were made as a gift from daughter to mother – and Mom was thrilled 🙂

I’m also working on some new techniques that are time-savers. Saving time means they cost less – so these new styles are proving popular – hey, we all like saving money!

There’s more on the way. These are fun!

Pretty heart necklace (a great gift for Mom!)

This aqua, green and orange hearts necklace is a customer favorite this spring – from the comments I’ve been getting, it’s because these are such “happy colors”. I think that’s a fine description 🙂

paper jewelry - aqua green and orange hearts necklace

Neutrals are fine, black and white can be jazzy and powerful, but sometimes rich, pretty, happy color is the way to go.

And (hint) this makes a fine Mother’s Day gift 🙂

Mother’s Day gifts – these kanji earrings say Mother

These pretty, patterned earrings are making a bit of a splash for me this spring – they say Haha, or Mother, in Japanese kanji:

Like all Paper Jewels they’re lightweight – so they’re comfy. I don’t know about you but that matters to me! Of course they can be special ordered in custom colors (and can be made smaller or larger) – though I do have to say, people have been very receptive to this blue zircon, green and golden combo.

And of course, Mother’s Day holiday is coming. Just sayin!

Pretty pink necklace – the kanji Tenshi says “Angel”

This is one of my new favorites! It’s a pretty little necklace, I love the graceful navetete shape, and, well, moms seem to like wearing a necklace that says “Angel” 🙂

I don’t know if it’s because they think their kids are angels – or maybe hubby thinks she’s an angel for putting up with them (or him)! Either way, it’s a pretty color, and fun to wear for spring.

And Mother’s Day is coming 🙂

New japanese kanji earrings that say “Love”

The kanji on these earrings says Ai – which means Love. They’re about 1-1/2″ long but very lightweight (and comfy – I’m big on that) – and they’re just super fun for spring 🙂

Japanese kanji pink and purple paper earrings that say Love

I show them here in light purple, lilac and pink – but you can choose your own color combo (of course). Custom made, her favorite colors, and hmm, Valentine’s Day is coming.

This could be a big win-win 🙂

Japanese Kanji Necklace says “Mother”

This is just a sample of the new line I talked about recently – the paper design (with the kanji) is placed under a clear glass cabochon in a silver plated setting.

This pretty pink pendant says “Haha”, which means Mother, or Mom. Because it takes less time than the more labor-intensive “tranditional” Paper Jewels, the necklace costs less, too. I’m going to do more of these – they’re fun, they’re pretty, and of course they can be personalized with her favorite color. Moms love them.

We can play with different kanji, too. It’s up to you!

Fun New Earrings with Crystal, Chain, and yes, Paper

I have to say, I am having a good time with these new earrings! Case in point:

Aqua, cream, orange, and green rystal, chain, and paper earrings

This is what jewelry ought to be: lightweight, comfortable, cute. And did I mention fun? These are made with several layers of lacquered paper (natch), silver plated chain (with an anti-tarnish finish!), silver plated jump rings for a little added movement and texture, and sparkling Swarovski crystals. And they’re only 1-1/2″ long. And they can be made as clip-ons too of course.

Yes, they are not priceless diamonds – if that’s where you’re going my shop is probably not your first choice, and by the way may I say I admire your taste. But if you’d rather have Cool Jewelry than Ultra Fine Jewelry? You are going to love these 🙂

(P.S. Yes, we can make them in your favorite colors. Or hers. You know that.)
