Red Lacquered Gypsy Earrings

I have no logical explanation for this but this design just struck me as "gypsy". Please forgive me (and tell me!) if this is inappropriate!

The design is quite vivid in red with orange and purple, and the ear drops are accented with handwired natural amethyst buttons in light-to-medium purple. The earrings measure almost 2" long but truly, they are still very lightweight and comfortable! The earwires are gold-filled.
