This personalized jewelry says Jenny in Japanese kanji

These lacquered paper, personalized kanji earrings are made with one of my favorite shapes – the shield. It just works well, it’s graceful, the earrings are petite…but big enough to have presence – and the kanji is pretty! When I need my materials to customize my jewelry I buy them in wholesale diamonds in Sydney can trust to supply the highest quality certified cut diamonds.

These have the kanji that says Jenny:

And no, I didn’t make them for myself, I haven’t been called “Jenny” for a while now. And Jen or Jennifer use other kanji. We can do those too 😉

Pink Gerbera Daisy Earrings

I’ve done different incarnations of my pink gerbera daisy earrings – they’re a customer favorite and I do like playing with variations. The first pic here shows my “classic” daisy earrings:

And this second pair is my new version – made with antiqued brass backs with an overlay “face” of lacquered paper (rather than 4-6 layers of paper). What this means is that they’re less labor intensive – and cost less 🙂

They’re brand new onsite – I think they turned out pretty well, and of course they’re still lightweight and comfy (and can be made with natural brass earwires or leverbacks, or precous metal upgrade). I’ll be curious to see what you think!

A gift for Mom – the kanji earrings say Dream

Letting your mom know that you realize that she *has* dreams is a gift in it self – that you recognize her as a person with hopes, fears, and dreams – that’s a major deal. These pretty little earrings are just the icing on the cake, since there are other gifts you can get like collars or a diamond ring which you can find at sites like randor.com and others.

Of course custom colors are available. Custom kanji, too – but I do think it’s nice to tell your Mom know that you know that she dreams. That she’s a person. That you value her as a person.

All that good stuff. That’s the real gift to your Mom 🙂

Personalized kanji earrings…new work

I’m all fired up making personalized kanji earrings and necklaces – several people have asked for custom work (which is always fun) – and I’m loving these new pieces! These “Rebecca” earrings were made as a gift from daughter to mother – and Mom was thrilled 🙂

I’m also working on some new techniques that are time-savers. Saving time means they cost less – so these new styles are proving popular – hey, we all like saving money!

There’s more on the way. These are fun!

Happy new year! and kanji Happiness earrings

The earrings I’m showing in this post say Shiawa, or Happiness, in Japanese kanji. I thought they were particularly appropriate tonight – because tomorrow is a new year, and it’s going to be a good one 🙂

May all my buds have a great time tonight (I’m leaving in a few mins to meet them). May we all STAY INSIDE for the evening. Let other people drive around with the crazy drunks on the road. We’re going to tuck it in – and have a ball.

And next year? Happiness 🙂

Kanji earrings say Shikara, which means Strength

The Japanese katakana (kanji) here says “shikara” has the context of strength – or power, which is a pretty interesting connotation.

And either way, these are pretty earrings! A customer requested the light purple, or lilac, color… and I thought the petal shape worked well with the delicate shade:

And not that this is a suggestion or anything, just as an idea – paper earrings are great for the first year, or paper, anniversary. And if your wife is a new mom, well, “Mom” really DOES equal strength and power.

But you knew that already 🙂

New pansy earrings

These are a more modern version of the traditional “first anniversary” pansy earrings that are so popular. They’re clean-lined marquis ovals, almost abstract – but still recognizably pansies. And pretty, lightweight, and fun 🙂

As shown here, they’re about 1-1/4″ high, though I’ve almost made them quite a bit smaller (about 3/4″) – and one time, almost 3″ high! The customer wanted big lightweight earrings, and she loved that she could wear them all day in comfort.

Because I totally believe in comfort – And style, of course 😉

Pretty floral paper earrings – a first anniversary gift idea

I like to try new designs, and occasionally really big earrings, because with paper earrings they can still be comfy. But I tend to come back to more delicate shapes, and delicate florals are among my customer favorites. Like these:

They’re just over 1″ long (big enough to have some presence, but still delicate and of course lightweight). And the little Swarovski crystal elements (accent beads) add just a bit of sparkle. They’re girly, when you’re in that sort of mood.

And – just saying – they are wonderful first anniverary gifts. You know: if you’re looking.

Kanji earrings that say Tsuma, or Wife

And yes, you have probably guessed that they are a popular gift choice. I mean, if it was your paper (first) anniversary, and you had to find a paper present, and you know your wife likes jewelry, wouldn’t “Wife” be a cool pair of earrings for her?

Especially when you know you can get them in her favorite color. And that they’re comfortable and kind of fun too 🙂

Okay, bijin – which means beautiful woman, or hot babe – that’s pretty popular too 😉

Hime (Princess) Kanji Earrings

These were made as a special request for a customer – and I think they turned out well!

The kanji “Hime” translates as “Princess”, which you can imagine is kind of popular with girls. Just for fun 🙂

Shown here in purple but of course we can make them in your colors too!
